Editorial policy

Useful first. Verifiable always.

Our content policy is designed to keep a technical utility site accurate, original, transparent, and independent of advertising pressure.

Original value

Every BRAW Planner guide is written for a distinct production task. We do not copy competitor articles, lightly rewrite manufacturer pages, manufacture word count, or publish many near-identical keyword variants. Source material informs facts; our added value is the calculation method, practical interpretation, worked examples, decision frameworks, and connections to the interactive tool.

Sources and verification

Primary manufacturer documentation is preferred for codec behavior, recording formats, and published rates. When an estimate uses a model rather than an exact published table, the page says so. Important figures are checked for unit consistency and should be reproducible from the published method.

Automation and AI-assisted drafting

Automation may assist research organization, calculation, and first-draft wording. It is used because it can help maintain consistent formulas and make technical information easier to navigate. It is not used to invent hands-on experience, human identities, credentials, tests, or quotes. Readers should treat the site as a planning resource and validate critical production decisions with real hardware.

Updates and corrections

Pages show publication and revision dates where appropriate. A date is changed only when the page receives a meaningful update. Corrections should explain the affected setting, result, source, or formula so the issue can be reproduced. Contact details are available on the contact page.

Advertising and independence

Advertising may fund the website, but ads do not determine calculator results, article conclusions, or product recommendations. Ad placements must be clearly labelled and visually distinguishable from content. The site does not ask visitors to click ads and does not place ads so densely that they interfere with the tool or reading experience.

Affiliate content

If affiliate links are introduced, the relationship will be disclosed near the link or recommendation. A commercial relationship will not be presented as a technical certification.
