Planning information, not a guarantee
Calculator results and guides are general planning information. They do not guarantee exact file sizes, recording times, media compatibility, sustained performance, data integrity, or fitness for a particular production.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for testing the actual camera, firmware, sensor mode, frame rate, cable, recording media, power setup, computer, and backup workflow before relying on them. Maintain appropriate backups and follow manufacturer guidance.
Permitted use
You may use the calculator and read the guides for personal, educational, and commercial production planning. You may link to pages and quote brief portions with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions, scrape the site to create a competing copy, remove ownership notices, interfere with operation, or misrepresent the site as an official Blackmagic Design service.
Intellectual property
The original site design, explanatory text, calculation presentation, and code are protected by applicable rights. Third-party trademarks and product names remain the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively.
Availability and changes
The site may change, pause, or remove features without notice. Formulas and guides may be revised when camera specifications, source material, or editorial understanding changes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BRAW Planner and its owner are not liable for lost footage, missed recording time, failed media, production delay, lost revenue, data loss, or indirect damages arising from use of the site.
